What is Speech-Language Therapy?
Speech therapy is a type of therapy that focuses on helping individuals improve their communication skills. It can help with a variety of communication challenges, including speech delays, language disorders, stuttering, cognitive disorders, voice disorders, and swallowing disorders.
What ages do you work with?
We work with individuals of all ages, from birth to geriatric.
How long are therapy sessions?
Therapy is always tailored to the unique needs of the individual. We offer 30-minute sessions. Depending on the type and severity of deficits, therapy is recommended at 1x, 2x, or 3x per week. The scope and duration of therapy will be discussed in consultation with the SLP during the initial visit.
Do you accept insurance?
We provide insurance reimbursement for ALL services. We are working on expanding our in-network coverage, as we understand the importance of insurance coverage for our clients. Our families take advantage of our affordable payment options that are usually equivalent to standard co-payments.
What should I expect during a therapy session?
During T.A.L.K.S. therapy sessions, you and/or your loved one can expect to work on a variety of communication skills, such as speech sounds, language comprehension, fluency, swallowing, cognition, and social communication, depending on your communication needs. We offer individual therapy, group therapy, and teletherapy. We also use a variety of techniques and modalities, such as Technology, Arts, Literacy, Kinesiology, and Science, to create engaging and effective therapy sessions that encourages growth and learning.
